Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 June 2026

Welcome to WeeWallet. These Terms are an agreement between you and WeeWallet ("WeeWallet", "we", "us") covering your use of the WeeWallet app and this site. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use WeeWallet.

WeeWallet is a learning tool โ€” not money and not a financial service. The balances, jars, deposits, withdrawals, and goals in the app are a virtual, educational representation only. They are not real money, not currency, and not a stored-value or payment instrument. WeeWallet never holds, transfers, or processes real funds, and amounts have no cash value and cannot be redeemed.

1. A learning tool, not a bank

WeeWallet is designed to help parents and guardians teach children about spending, saving, and giving. It is not a bank, credit union, or financial institution, is not regulated as one, pays no interest, and provides no deposit insurance. Entering a "deposit" or "withdrawal" only updates a number on screen โ€” it's a record-keeping and teaching aid.

2. Real money is your responsibility

Any real, physical, or actual money is entirely between you and your child. If you hand your child cash or set money aside based on what the app shows, you do so on your own and are solely responsible for it. We are not a party to, and take no responsibility for, any real-world money, allowance, payment, or arrangement. You are responsible for reconciling the app with any real money you choose to manage.

3. Educational purpose โ€” not financial advice

WeeWallet is an educational and family-organization tool. Nothing in it is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

4. Who can use WeeWallet

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and the parent or legal guardian to create and hold an account. Children do not have their own accounts โ€” child profiles exist inside the parent's account and are intended for use under parental supervision. You are responsible for activity under your account; keep your credentials secure.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use WeeWallet for any unlawful purpose, represent its amounts as real money to anyone, attempt to break or reverse-engineer it, access other families' data, or use it in a way that harms others.

6. Availability & "as is"

We provide WeeWallet "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for loss of data or downtime โ€” keep your own record of anything important, including any real money you track.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeeWallet and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss of money, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Because WeeWallet holds no real money, we are not responsible for any real-world money or arrangement between you and your child or any third party.

8. Changes, suspension & termination

We may update the app and these Terms over time; material changes are reflected by updating the date above. You may stop using WeeWallet and delete your account at any time from within the app.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be handled in the courts located in Alberta, Canada.

10. App store terms

If you download WeeWallet from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the applicable store's terms also apply, in addition to these Terms.
